Topsham Sailing Club is situated on the upper tidal reaches of the River Exe, occupying an enviable location with stunning and far-reaching views across the Exe Estuary and surrounding countryside.
Situated at the heart of the picturesque Topsham community, you are guaranteed a warm welcome from the members of this vibrant sailing club: visitors and new members alike are always welcome for both our on and off the water events.
Our sailing programme involves cruisers, dinghies and the one-design Devon Yawl. Typically, our races attract 30+ cruisers and 8+ yawls in each of our 32 evening races. Weekends boast a range of events, including pursuit races to
destinations further afield, such as Dartmouth and across the English Channel. We have an active dinghy programme, incorporating our cadets section, which runs sail training events throughout the year.
We are proud of our achievements and heritage in waters that many would describe as challenging, and which are often referred to as 'puddle jumping'. In truth, avoiding the mud just adds another dimension to our lives!
Off the water, members of Topsham Sailing Club really know how to enjoy themselves! Spoiled with an idyllic location and well-equipped club facilities, we maximise our apres sail opportunities to have fun; with regular evening events, such as Trafalgar Night, Burns Night and our hugely popular annual Dinner and Dance and Prize Giving, supplemented by summer barbeques and 'sink-the-pontoon' parties! Excellent fun for all the family, guaranteed all year round.
Come and pay us a visit and experience at first hand what we have to offer. You won't be disappointed as a warm welcome awaits.
